The Sustainable Lantau Photo Exhibition – Bringing together the people, planet, and prosperity of Lantau Island
JCI Lantau Flagship Project “The Sustainable Lantau” Photo Exhibition” has already implemented for 4 months from May to August 2022. To execute The Sustainable Lantau Photo Exhibition, we have consisted of our 2022 chapter theme “Do Well. Do Good” . By holding a variety of activities such as workshop and tour which offer an opportunity for us to enrich personal quality and skill set – “Do Well”. Raising the awareness on sustainability and therefore, they can “Do Good” for our society, to develop a more caring community and foster a better Hong Kong.
To raise the public awareness on the sustainability of Lantau Island, and the balance among economic development, environmental protection and cultural preservation, we have held a series of events over the past months:
- 30 May: Opening Ceremony (Online) and Open for Photo Submission
- 25 June: Guided tour to the InnoTCE of Tung Chung East Reclamation Project
- 16-17, 24 July: Photography Workshop
- 23 July: Lantau Eco Night Tour
- 20 August: End of Photo Submission

Upcoming Event: The Sustainable Lantau Exhibition cum Award Presentation
After receiving the submission, our professional judges will selected 30 entries as winners of the competition. The Sustainable Lantau Exhibition cum Award Presentation will be held on 17 – 18 September 22, at Annex, the Mill, Tusen Wan to showcase the extraordinary winning photos and present the Awards to the winners. Special Guests will be invited to give out a speech as well as presenting the awards. By gathering the dedications, we show the world the precious value and beauty of Lantau through photography.
