[JCI Victoria] Together V Love- We Care Stray Animals (只備英文版本)

Do you know? Only 1 out of every 10 dogs born will find a permanent home.

And the main reasons animals are in shelters: owners give them up, or animal control finds them on the street. Each year, approximately 2.7 million dogs and cats global are killed every year because shelters are too full and there aren’t enough adoptive homes. As a Jaycee, acting as a publicist for your community, Victorians are more than willing to give help to local shelter so pets can find homes!

We held a series of events, engaging members, to show supports to the Shelters and homeless animals. The May MFG, The August MFG and the fundraising event 2022.

The May Monthly Fellowship Gathering has been successfully held on 22nd May 2022.Over 30 participants participated in servicing Kelly’s Animal Shelter.

More than 30 members helped in Kelly’s Animal Shelter, and over 200 hundreds dogs and cats were served on 22nd May 2022. Even under the hot weather, participants enjoyed to serve with sweats, and were willing to contribute to the event. Participants helped to clean the shelter and feed the dogs.

JCI Victoria 2022 August Monthly Fellowship Gathering was successfully held on 21 August 2022 (Sunday) in Blackroom 2. Under the new normal situation, we also invite members and fellows of Tung Wah Group of Hospitals Tuen Mun Integrated Services Center to join our sharing section through Zoom. 60 of us enjoys the event online and offline.

Thanks our guest speaker, Connie- stray animal adopter, Macy from Kelly Animal Shelter; Dorothy, Animal Communicator; Tin Yan a local Designer to share their valuable experiences and their views towards helping homeless animals through the society. Miss Tin Yan, who also shares same idea of loving animals, taught us making a nice souvenir magnet for members so share the message of loving animals to others.

Through communicating and working together with different parties, it made me feel challenging but rewarding! We hope that this event would be one of your most memorable events and again, we do thank for your participation and support to our event!

Further more, we want to give physical help to those homeless. The very first time JCI Victoria x TinYan Illustration x local tee shirt producer- Creeps made a teeshirt design for raising fund for homeless animals!

Proceeds excluding costs from the charity sale of T-shirt will go to the relevant beneficiary organizations, which will be used for the medical expenses of Stray Dog Medical Care. Through which, sick and injured stray dogs will receive proper medical care, giving them another chance to a better life. Don’t miss your chance to be part of this meaningful mission.

Upon the end of the charity sale, we will publish on our Facebook page about each rescue cases on which the donations will have been spent. This allows donors and the public to follow up on the use of the proceed thoroughly and ensure that their contributions have been properly spent on providing the much-needed medical care for stray dogs.
