Public speaking and debating are the core of the classic LD projects. The program provide opportunities to our members to acquire practical skills and experience to express themselves clearly and confidently as leaders and aim at choosing our winners to represent JCIHK in ASPAC championship. The event were divided into 3 parts.

Public Speaking and Debating Workshop
The event was successfully held on 26 March 2022. The workshop was delivered through Facebook Live Private group with 83 participants online listened to the sharing the public speaking skills, debating skills and experience from guest speaker. Guest speaker:

• Mr. Vivek Mahbubani (Renowned Standup Comedian)
• NIPP Senator Winnie Yeung
• NCCD Gigi Tsui
JCI World Public Speaking Preliminary Contest 2022
The event was successfully held on 16 April 2022. For safety concerns, we had transformed the event into online mode. The audience can watch the contest through facebook live.
We are grateful that we have a record high of 38 contestants gave their speech and shared their own stories through Public Speaking for both JC Class and Open Class. 5 contestants from each class were selected for the final contest.

JCI World Public Speaking and Debate Championship (Hong Kong) 2022 – Final Contest
On 7 May 2022, the virtual event was successfully held at JCI Hong Kong Office. We are grateful that 5 finalists from Public Speaking JC Class, 5 finalists from Public Speaking Open Class, 9 contestants for Public Speaking President Cup and 6 teams from Debating participated. And they all did their best in their speeches.

After the final contest on 7 May 2022, we have Patricia Loo (JCI Harbour) to represent JCIHK for ASPAC contest, which held on 29 May 2022. And Patricia Loo (JCI Harbour) won the final 3 of the public speaking contest. We have the debate team: Rain Ho, Cheryl Chan, Jenny Chan (JCI Hong Kong Jayceettes), to represented JCIHK for ASPAC debating contests on held on 29 May 2022.
