[JCI Victoria] Project V- Highlight of Flagship Project by Victorian

Victorians as active citizens, involved in social movements in the sector of Stem family relationships, business development under pandemic also Sustainable Development Goals. And therefore the three flagship project was held in 2022.

Talking about grandparents, what would be the first thing comes into mind? Have you ever thought about the integration of different generations? Bridging the gap between people from different generations? Meanwhile, covid pandemic has left much less entertainment than ever. Yet, don’t worry, but how?

And now we present to you the 33rd Grandparents’ Day – Together V Sing Online Concert!

To promote inter-generation integration, we are hosting an online concert on 6 August 2022. Through which, we hope to increase the public’s understanding of the elderlies to bridge the generation gaps. More importantly, we want to show the elderlies that the community cares about them, and to provide them some entertainment.

Numerous musicians performed in this concert, join us and let’s experience our 33rd Grandparents’ Day – Together V Sing Online Concert!!!

On 6 August, Over 4000 viewers from 30 elderly care houses and 1000+individules watched the Facebook live online. Through the project co-working with Elder Academy, we engaged elderlies to learn how to use mobile devices to enjoy live video by their own, which shown us that they are old in age, but not in mind!

Under the pandemic, businesses faced a huge challenge that had never been seen before. However, a group a game changers breakthrough the challenges by their innovative business model.

innoExpo 2022, the key event of innoBrand this year, will provide chances to let the game changing thriving industries to showcase their ideas to the society, at the same time, to accelerate the society to adopt the new solutions and new businesses.

In our exhibition we’ll explore some of the trends created or accelerated by the onset of Covid-19 that are likely to change the way we live, work, learn, and relax long after the pandemic is over — and how the future of those innovations is likely to unfold.

Over 20 local businesses joined as Exhibitor and 1000+ viewers showed interest and login our online exhibition platform in 2 July to 17 July.

Through out the innoExpo, our Business Affairs team find out that there is a need of knowing how to apply funding in order to support their business development. So a Funding Application Tips Sharing seminar was held co-hosted with HKPC.

Over 60+ participates, including 40+ non- Jaycees, joined the seminar and learnt tips from our star guest speaker:

BUD Fund supported by HKPC and HKSAR also provide ONE to ONE consultation on site and a participant granted from the BUD fund in the amount of 1.5 million on that day supporting the business development.

The Awards Ceremony for SDG Enterprise Awards 2022 has been successfully held on 30 July 2022 at Asia Society Hong Kong Center! The Awards Ceremony for SDG Enterprise Awards 2022 had over 150 participants, including winning companies and supporting organizations. On behalf of JCI Victoria, I would like to thank everyone for your precious support for the event.

This year, we had over 100 companies applied and participated in the SDG Enterprise Awards 2022. We were delighted to have Centre for Business Sustainability, CUHK Business School at The Chinese University of Hong Kong as our co- organiser and we were honoured to have Prof. Carlos Lo as our head judge for this event. With their support, we successfully launched a new judging criteria for initial screening and judging. 20 outstanding companies were selected by our judges at the Judging Day. During the Awards Ceremony, we recognised 20 Winning Companies and more than 40 Companies conform with SDG Goals for their great effort and make significant contributions in promoting the awareness of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) in their business and to the public.

It was our great honour and pleasure to invite the following guests and judges to attend our Award Ceremony and give out certificates to all Winning Companies,  Companies conform with SDG Goals and all our supporting organisations for this project.

An event like this will not happen overnight. We have been fortunate to be backed by a team of very motivated and dedicated organizing committee fellows and helpers from both inside and outside of our chapter.

First of all, my heartfelt thanks to our two amazing and excellent Emcee Alan Li from JCI Dragon and Phyllis Tsui, who delivered the list of winning companies and their messages to the public professionally, and ensured the event was smooth and successful!

Thank you to my two lovely Organising Committee Dylan Kwan and Stella Li for hosting such a great game section on stage to engage all participants, and promoting SDG knowledge everyone, making the event even more fun and enjoyable!
